I blew all the money I had saved taking Nick to Charlie Trotter's for his birthday dinner. It was far and away the most exciting meal I have ever had. I will post in more detail about it soon.
off topic, sorry. Just wanted to say hi. I found your blog listed on one of the other food blogs ...I think 101 cookbooks and voila. I used to live in Chicago in wicker park, just a couple of blocks from the Damen El stop; and now I live in Portland--sounds like you're a Reedie. ? Funny. I'm not even a vegetarian but I really enjoy your blog; the photos are lovely. I walked in to Red Hen bread once when they were looking for an apprentice. I was seriously tempted. But the pay was....not something I could live on. And the hours. Anyway. Wishing you well and looking forward to reading in the future. Best, Heather
