I've spent a fair amount of time and money trying to find the best running gear out there. I thought I would share my list of favorites with you. I'm still on the lookout for a few favorite items. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
Running Shorts: I have no complaints about the way my Brooks running shorts performed, but they look pretty dowdy. If anyone has suggestions for running shorts with a modest inseam that are still flattering, I'd love to know about them.
Running shirt/tank: I'm looking for a fitted, yet not too tight running shirt or tank. Ideally this garment would be made of breathable fabric and not have huge arm-holes.
Running hat/visor: I like my running hat from last year, but again, I feel like I look a bit silly in it. I was thinking of going the visor route, so that my hair doesn't have to be smashed into a low pony-tail, but I'm not sure I would look any better. I really liked have a brim for my hot summer runs. I think it helped keep me from over-heating.
This bra provides great support for larger busts (C - DD) and I'm quite happy with my choice so far. It has back clasps, which I'm not used to, but I think it helps the bra be more supportive. It also has velcro adjustable straps that seem to be highly acclaimed. I'll let you know what I think.
Nike Modern Fit Poly Capri Pants
I kind of hated the capri gym wear trend when I first noticed it a few years ago. Though, as I've started running more, I have to say that is nice to have an alternative to shorts. Even though they are tighter than any running shorts that I own, I feel more modest wearing these some how. A well-fitting pair of capris won't ride up or bunch, and dark colors look especially flattering on. I tried several brands and my favorite ended up being these. They looked fitted, but not as tight as other pairs I tried on.
Road Runner Sports DryMax Sport Socks
I love Smart Wool socks, but I can't afford to buy multiple pairs of them. RRS DryMax socks are nicely priced, have the same moisture control qualities as more expensive brands, and feel great. I have the thin and medium cushion.
After spending most of the winter searching, I have finally found the best cold temperature running pants. These Polartec pants have a flattering cut and keep me warm on the coldest Chicago days while remaining breathable and quick-drying. And best of all, they come in tall (and short) sizes for those of us who have less than average limbs. The pants also feature a small hip pocket that keeps an ID, a few dollars, or key tucked away. They are on the pricey side, but I expect to get my money's worth over the next few years.
Polar F6 Heart Rate Monitor
It took me a while to come around to heart rate monitors, but I cannot imagine training without one now. The F6 is on the lower end of the price bracket for good HRMs, but it fits the bill perfectly for me. You enter in a few pieces of information like your weight and age, and then wear the strap and watch for your workout. The HRM records your maximum heart rate, your average heart rate, the duration of your workout, the calories you burned, and the percent of fat calories you burned. It is a great motivation tool and I highly recommend investing in one if you are serious about running.
Patagonia Capilene 3 Zip-Neck Long-Sleeve
This top is soft, wicking and warm -- just what you need in a winter base layer. The long zip neck allows easy climate control while on the run and the top is long enough that it won't ride up.
Sugoi Versa Jacket
This is the perfect winter-layer over the Patagonia Capilene top. The jacket is soft and pliable, while offering wind and water resistance. Reflective detailing increases visibility, the sleeves zip-off for versatility, and it is longer in the back to keep the cold air out as you move.
Cheap Stretch Gloves
I don't use any fancy gloves for winter running. I use the dollar-store variety stretch gloves. They are inexpensive and small -- making it easy to stuff them in my pockets if I get too hot.
Powdered Sports Drink
I'm not one to spend lots of money on specialized athletic food or drink, but sometimes I crave electrolytes after a long run in a way that only a sugary, salty sports drink can satisfy. I keep a package of powdered Gatorade at home for these occasions. It is immesely cheaper than buying single bottles and produces less waste. I can spoon a bit into my water bottle on hot days or mix with cold water from my Brita filter after I return.
Body Glide
If you plan to run on a regular basis Body Glide is essential. You'll think it is a waste until the day you actually need it -- the day you first chaf. And on that day you will be so glad it is tucked away under you bathroom sink. Trust me.
iPod Shuffle
Could I run without music? Of course. But, I certainly don't want to. A well crafted play list can give me energy when I need it and help me focus when I really want to train hard. I've had no problem using the earbuds that came with mine, but they also make fancy running headphones.
Brooks Adrenaline GTS8
I love my running shoes. Though, before you just buy a shoe that seems appropriate, I would highly recommend that you go to a running store for a professional fitting. These shoes are light, but feel like they fit snug and sturdy. They are perfect for me. I may look into buying their new GTS 9 model this year.

I have the same feeling as you, so good. however, if you add some explanation below the
pictures, it's better. by Jordan

They are too adorable. I cant wait to see more. And the new fabric line I just love. I had my list of what I wanted to order and it looks like I will be adding more. I love the summer colorway. I was thinking of decorating my daughters room with it. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing more!
